Cracking IBPS Clerk is not a big deal; if you plan well, you don’t need any formal coaching or any outside assistance. Bank Clerk preparation requires practice and regular revisions to ace the clerical exams. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has already released the exam schedule of IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2020 on its official website. As per the IBPS schedule for 2020, the Prelim exam will be held between 12 – 13th December 2020, and on 19th December 2020. The IBPS Clerk Main exam will happen on 24th January 2021. The notification for IBPS Clerk Notification is expected to be released in October. Following the correct strategy and self-study time will lead the candidates in a proper direction and help in clearing the bank exam in the first attempt, without formal coaching.

IBPS Clerk Pattern and Syllabus

The recruitment process for IBPS Clerk will be conducted in two phases – Preliminary and Main Examinations. The exam will be conducted online.

Prelim Exam– Candidates have to answer MCQs from three sections; English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability.

IBPS Clerk 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must fulfil the following requirements for the IBPS Clerk Exam 2020:

  1. Age Limit: The aspirant must be between 20 to 28 years old as on 1 September 2020. The final criteria will be released along with the notification on the official website.
  2. Educational Requirements: An aspirant must have completed Graduation in any field from a valid University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government of India. The candidate should have English as one of the subjects at SSC / HSC / Intermediate / Graduation level. Candidates should possess a certificate in proof of passing the qualifying examination.

IBPS Clerk 2020 Admit Card & Call Letter

Candidates will be able to download the IBPS Clerk 2020 admit card from the official website of the bank. The original hard copy of the IBPS Clerk Admit Card will not be sent via post. The candidates will need the following credentials for login:

  1. Registration No. or Roll No.
  2. Password or Date of Birth

The admit card will be available from 10 to 15 days before the IBPS Clerk Exam for 2020. The admit card for IBPS 2020 Clerk exam will be issued in 3 phases:

Tips to self-study for IBPS Clerk Exam

  1. Knowing the exam pattern, and syllabus along with smart study plan is essential
  2. Priority should be given to all the sections as sectional cut-offs are critical for a student to pass the exam.
  3. A scheduled routine so that the candidates have enough time to prepare and analyze based on the mock tests.
  4. Time management is essential and needs to be taken care of as there is a stipulated time in such examinations. Hence, candidates need to maintain good accuracy levels at high speed to complete the paper on time. Practising with a stopwatch can be helpful while preparing for IBPS Clerk.
  5. Candidates must revise each topic so that they can retain concepts and do not forget it during the examination.
  6. The candidates are advised to practice through mock papers, sample papers, and previous year’s bank exams question papers to do well in each section.
  7. Hard-work with determination is required for the aspirants to prepare for the SBI/IBPS Clerk exam.
