Zardari warns Nawaz against harming coalition

Lahore, Nov 20 (ANI): Pakistan President Asif Zardari is learnt to have called up PML-N leader and former premier Nawaz Sharif last evening to convey his strong displeasure over distribution of immoral photographs of Governor Salman Taseer’s son by Punjab Law Minister to the media recently.

The Punjab Government, led by Nawaz’s brother Shahbaz Sharif, is known to be irked by alleged unwanted political interference into government’s day-to-day work by the Governor.

According to highly placed sources, Zardari told Nawaz that those intolerable tactics could jeopardise the coalition, and also conveyed to him that the Punjab Governor was the nominee of the PPP and he completely owned him.

Zardari demanded strict action against those responsible for the act of distribution of photographs, and also asked him to ensure such things didn’t recur, reported The News.

The President also told Nawaz that the act against the Governor could be reciprocated in similar manner as the tapes and videos clips containing lighter moments of scions of the Sharif family could also be produced to prove that they were involved in immoral activities.

Sources said Nawaz was told the CM knew the act of PML-N minister Rana Sanaullah who opened a face book containing very personal photographs of Governor Salman Taseer and his family, and even made efforts to get these published in some dailies.

In the recent past, the Governor is said to have directed the provincial government to hold the cabinet meeting which had not been convened for the last three months. Moreover, he had also directed them to appoint the prosecutor general which was adversely affecting the judicial work. (ANI)
