Texas Swine Flu Death: A toddler becomes first US victim

A 23 months old child in Texas became the first US victim of Swine Flu, it has been reported. This is also the first confirmed case of Swine Flu death out of Mexico.

AP reports quoting spokeswoman for the Houston Health and Human Services Department, that the child had traveled with family from Mexico to Brownsville in South Texas. The child became ill in Brownsville and was taken to a Houston hospital and died Monday night.

In Mexico, up to 159 people have suspected died to die from the Swine Flu. Although only 7 could have been confiered so far. In the USA, the status is 45 confirmed cases in New York, 11 confirmed cases in California, six confirmed cases in Texas, two confirmed cases in Kansas and one confirmed case each in Indiana and Ohio, according to CDC.
