Shahrukh Khan in a tell tale mood…
In a recent chat show anchored by Farah Khan, Shahrukh was his usual happy go lucky, cheerful self. While answering questions on various events connected with his life, he disclosed very candidly on how his courtship years with ‘Gauri’ – his wife, were. Shahrukh, 43 years of age married Gauri in 1991 .
It was during the time he dated her that his behavior was ‘rotten’ according to his own admission. He admitted that he used to feel very insecure about their relationship and so he did not let her wear mini-skirts and tight T-shirts. He also said that since Gauri’s so beautiful he would never let her keep her hair loose. Then he very startlingly told Farah that he felt insecure only because he was never sure that she belonged to him just as he belonged to her. This surely sounded sweet like a teenage puppy love – well Shahrukh from what we see of him now, as a dating husband and father – it surely is not a surprise that he harbored such sincere feelings.
Wish more men would feel that way .At least he was honest enough to confess his innermost feelings on television –which requires a lot of grit and guts! Hats off Shahrukh we are impressed. He however, did say that he had promised Gauri that he would not be so ‘rotten’ after they got married and that she would not feel curbed to do anything. But gone are those orthodox days and says Shahrukh that ‘today even Aryan their son asks Gauri not to wear a long skirt covering her whole self if she even returns from a party in one of them’.
Now we are sure glad to hear that ‘coz Gauri Khan is one of the most fashionable women of our country and to hide such a perfect poise behind long clothes would be a loss-for all those who crave to see fashion at its best and that too on India’s crème de la crème
