India set to lose Indian Premier League (IPL) to South Africa or England!

In what comes across as a shocking news to the millions of cricket fans of India, BCCI president Shashank Manohar announced that IPL2 will be held outside India. The decision was taken by BCCI in an emergency meeting.
"Due to the attitude of the government that it cannot provide security for the tournament, we are forced to take a decision to move the IPL out of India" BCCI President Shashank Manohar said to media.
The likely venues are England and South Africa with the dates and formats of tournaments remaining the same. It is expected that the venues will be finalized within two to three days.
The Indian Premier League or IPL is a Twenty20 cricket competition created by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The first season of the Indian Premier League commenced on 18 April 2008, and ended on 1 June 2008 with the victory of the Rajasthan Royals in the final at the DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai. The second season is scehduled to begin on 10 April 2009.
