New Moon on 16th /17th of November: Leonid Meteor shower & all you need to know!
According to scientists the much talked about Leonid shower is all set to dazzle the world on 16th /17th of this month. Though most of the world is expected to witness it, Atlanta might be an exception as a local astronomer predicted dense cloud in that location.
NASA reported that the Leonid shower peaked last night but the light show of comet crumbs can be seen for the rest of the week.
North and South America are supposed to see the shower’s best between midnight and dawn on 17th morning at slightly east sky while Asia will see the best meteor showers between 2:00 and 5:00 am on 18th morning. Australia and Antarctica will hardly see the meteor shower because the constellation Leo doesn’t rise too far above the horizon in Australia. Europe will get to see it quite a bit during midnight.
These are good times people, now you don’t have wait for that one falling star and make your wish, it’s time to wish in bulk, so get ready with a list of wishes as the huge meteor shower might make you forget them.
