Zelda Rubinstein passed away at the age of 76!

Zelda Rubinstein:  May 28, 1933 – January 27, 2010!

Zelda Rubinstein, the actress of 80s who was famous for the role in Poltergeist and its sequels has passed away on 27th January 2010 Wednesday at around 2:00AM. She was 76years old.

Fox News and BBC report that Zelda Rubinstein passed away on 27th Jan at Barlow Respiratory Hospital in Los Angeles. Zelda had a heart attack last year and had been suffering from several health problems since then. She has died in her sleep and has been reported of natural death.

Zelda was known for his performances in the films Poltergeist and its two sequels. The actress who stood only 4’3” tall had a deficiency of the anterior pituitary gland. She always fought for the little people and commented once that ‘little people are societally handicapped’.

Zelda also participated to fight against HIV/AIDS long before it had become common. She was always known as an outspoken personality who had a bold approach towards what was right.

Zelda had been hospitalized since long and around one month back, her life support systems were removed as both her kidney and lung had failed. She had a peaceful death in her sleep.
