The Spice Girls are ready to set the stage on fire yet again – the pop divas are slated to reunite at the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.
Simon Fuller, 49, who managed the Spice Girls – Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm – through the peak of their success is masterminding the reformation of the band.
“They stand for so much in British music history and I can’t think of a better time for them to get back together for another performance. The demand for them as a band is as strong as ever,” the Mirror quoted Fuller, as saying.
He added: “They will not want to be performing hits like Wannabe in their 40s, but it’s amazing how often people talk about another reunion. And I think if they do it, it’s going to be in 2012.”
The girls made their last appearance together in February 2008 in their Reunion Tour and walked away with a cool 40million pounds. (ANI)
