Robert Pattinson and Daniel Radcliffe: Who is a better actor?

The subject I have chosen for discussion puts me in a dilemma as I am aware of the backlash I may face from the ardent fans accusing me of getting biased. But dear readers, I have endeavoured to brave the task and all your criticisms and comments shall be helpful and valued.
Firstly, I would like to highlight the fact that both Robert and Daniel (especially Daniel) faced the camera at a tender age when they were not fully matured enough to undertake the daunting task they were put into. Nevertheless, both portrayed the fictional protagonists ‘Edward Cullen’ and ‘Harry Potter’ in a flawless manner and deserve applause and credit for drawing people like never before. They also made us fell in love with their characters and both command awe and admiration from all quarters, especially from the fairer sex.
However, as at now, Daniel stands a step ahead of Robert for the sheer grit he has shown towards breaking away from his wizard- image. Barely, in his teens, he stupefied all with his frontal nudity in the play ‘Equus’ and it does require immense courage and dedication towards one’s craft to bare all in front of a live audience. In a bid to shatter his mould, he played the author Rudyard Kipling’s son in the emotive film ‘My Boy Jack’ and gave a noteworthy performance in ‘December Boys’.
Robert Pattinson, no doubt, is an amazing actor but his true class can only be judged after he gets over with the ‘Twilight’ series. For the moment, Daniel stays an inch ahead of him just because of the tremendous zeal he has shown to prove his versatility.

Also, Pattinson has been participating in a few movies since the premiere of the first of the Twilight saga: Remember Me, Unbound Captives, Bel Ami. Clearly, there is more to judge him by if you believe that “his true class can only be judged after he gets over with the ‘Twilight’ series.” The fact the Radcliffe has taken more versatile roles does not make him a better actor; how he performs is what determines that.

I don’t like Harry Potter but I’ve seen him in other stuff like MY Boy Jack and Equus and he’s just so brilliantly focused. I was really impressed with his Equus performance and I think he was in another film called December Guys…Boys… I can’t remember. He was really good in that. But Robert Pattinson doesn’t seem that good in Twilight, when my dauughter dragged me along, he’s just seems a bit dull and it’s boring to watch unless your a teeneger and you’re going to gawp at his face all the time…December 23rd, 2009 at 6:01 pm -

oh! i love the harry potter series, the story is breathtaking and Daniel radcliffe did full justice to his character. as we read harry potter now, we picturise only Dan’s face and it fits!! i’m also a big fan of twilight saga which is different from harry potter’s. here also, Robert Pattinson is superb as edward cullen and he’s perfect also.
