Singer John Mayer has reportedly assured girlfriend Jennifer Anniston that he will escort her to the Academy Awards next year.
Jenny will be presenting an award at the Oscars next year where her ex-hubby Brad Pitt and partner Angelina Jolie are set to be nominated in the categories of best actor and actress respectively.
Popsugar.com, quoted Mayer as saying, “I’m going to the Oscars. It’s my first Oscars. And it’s my first being an Oscar boyfriend.”
The news must have relieved Anniston who was wondering whether she’ll be left unaccompanied at the do where the guests generally come in pairs.
However, Mayer said that he will be back being busy as usual post the annual Hollywood awards gala.
Said he, “After that night I’ve a deal almost signed in blood that says I must go into the studio and finish this record. So after Oscar Sunday, Monday morning I’m invisible.”
