Helen Phillips has won the biggest loser 2009 Finale!

An amazing weight loss of 54.47% has given Helen Phillips that extra edge to beat out all the other contestants and grab the title of biggest loser with a booty of $250,000 to take home. The season premiered on January 6, 2009, with eleven overweight couples. This was highest percentage of weight loss in Biggest Loser history, 54.47%. She also became the third consecutive winner to originate from the Pink Team. Mike came in a close second, and Tara was third.
Jerry won the $100,000 at-home prize with a total percentage of weight loss of 47.97% .
The Biggest Loser is an American reality television show that began broadcasting on the NBC network on October 19, 2004. The seventh season began on January 6, 2009. As of May 2009, NBC is casting for an ninth season.

Helen should be ashamed for sending her daughter home and allowing her daughter to still be overweight. Her daughter should have been in the finals before her!!! Most parents put their children first (like Ron)!!!! Helen looked alot better when she left the ranch than she did last night. Helen looks 20 years older that small!!! And she ate Tara’s cookie—that was just wrong!!!! Way to go Tara and Mike.
P.S. Mike’s brother should be on the next season!!!

I agree that Helen should be ashamed for sending her daughter home but I also think something is not right about her last weight lost. It also seems that losing 50% of your body weight cannot be healthy. Is this a good example to set for those that are attempting to lose weight? Helen did not look good at the finale. She looked old and haggart. it appears she lost too much weight in order to secure a win on the Biggest Loser.

I was shocked at Helen’s appearance. She looked ill. I am afraid of the message that will send to others who aspire to lose weight. She really looked good before this final. Too bad she doesn’t know when to quit. I guess $250K is a pretty good incentive to make yourself sick.

Helen was one of my least favorite contestants this seasons. She seems selfish. I think she looked terrible after at the finale. I would have liked to have seen Tara win. She did everything on her own.
