Bollywood ka Shehenshah’ Sir Amitabh-Bacchan-Stunner In ‘Paa’

After the splendid and heart-rending portrayal of an Alzheimer’s patient in ‘Black’, the ‘Bollywood ka Shehenshah’ is all set to paint the silver screen with his winsome fabrication of a 13-year old progeria-afflicted child. With 4 decades of Indian cinema behind him(having completed 40 years on November 7th,2009), Sir Amitabh Bacchan ,of late, has been experimenting with unconventional roles & has already donned the robes of a Genie(Aladin), a Ghost(Bhootnath) and God(God Tussi Great Ho) in 2009.And now, in ‘ Paa’, he essays his career’s most challenging role as he plays Auro, patient of a rare disorder, who ages 5 times faster than the normal ageing process.

After the 1st look of the film was unwrapped last week, fans were left stupefied, bewildered & hypnotized by the countenance, semblance and guise of their megastar. “Specially designed clay pieces form my look”- he quips, as he spends hours on putting & removing the heavy make-up m. Digitally stunted to merely 2 feet, the 6-footer actor is seen riding the shoulders of his real-life son Abhishek(who plays Paa to his real-life Paa), the film promises to be an emotional journey of a Father-Son relationship. The background symphony, too,  is soul-stirring and witnessing the 67-year old actor toddling away in frolic, takes you down the memory-lanes to your childhood-days.

Directed by R.Balakrishnan, ‘Paa’ which also stars Vidya Balan(who plays mother to Auro) & Paresh Rawal, is slated for a 4th December release. The sensational promos have already sent ripples of excitement amongst all Bolly-lovers & this may be the most-defining work of the Miracle-man.

So, hop on to the theatres this winter to feel the warmth of smile that would split your lips & tears that would, surely, trickle down your cheeks….
