Aishwarya Rai to Katrina Kaif: Barbie to hit the stores in December’09…

This bollywood babe is adding more and more feathers in her cap each passing day it seems! And this time it is the honor of being Barbie.
Well…we are not talking of her new movie where she plays Barbie dolls, but the toy brand Mattel has decided to design a Barbie with Katrina’s face as a mark of celebration of their 50th year. This is a great honor for Katrina who says she was flattered when she heard the news. She added it is always good to be related to the fans and kids like this.
The dolls will be in stores by December’09 and we can’t wait enough to welcome Kaif as the famous doll avatar. Kaif, sadly though, had no time to see the progress of the designs as she had been busy with her new releases lately; though she is eagerly waiting to see the doll as soon as she is back.
As a matter of fact, Mattel approached Aishwarya Rai Bachchan first, but she declined the offer due to lack of time. Good for Kaif, she was approached next who lapped up the opportunity. “Every girl has grown up playing with Barbie dolls, and so have I. It feels great”, says Katrina.
Katrina is the 1st Indian celebrity to be designed as a Barbie doll. The kids, and the adults too, love her so much so that she is the face of the international doll. You are welcome anytime Katrina, we are keen to see you as the pretty doll. Can’t wait much to see your dolls in Dec’09…

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the only perfect beauty with all the qualities of the barbie doll.
Katrina looks like has a bad case of arthritis and probably this is the reason her face looks weird. Can only play one role and it is boring. Watch her dance moves.

Mattel, where in the world you have seen Indian barbie doll looks like kaif, katrina. You are insulting Indian Heritage and Culture by selling barbie doll with less than half clothes nothing looks like Indian. Did you do your homework.
