Roshni Nadar replaces Shiv Nadar in HCL Corporation

Shiv Nadar has inducted his daughter Roshni Nadar as Executive Director and CEO of HCL Corporation, thus marking his exit from these posts of the company. He will however continue to be heading HCL Corporation.
Roshni Nadar holds and MBA degree in Social Enterprise Management and Strategy from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and has been working with HCL Corporation for last 9 months.
Shiv Nadar had founded HCL in the mid-1970s and transformed the IT hardware company into an IT Enterprise over the next three decades by constantly reinventing his company’s focus. Shiv Nadar holds an engineering degree in Electrical And Electronics Engineering from PSG College of Technology in 1968 and started his career in DCM’s calculator division.
Shiv Nadar founded HCL with an investment of Rs 187,000 from the 6 founders and added Uttar Pradesh government as a 26% equity partner. The company initially focused on building a microcomputer from scratch, but has evolved into an IT giant as we see it today.
